Mary W. Lander, 74, of 628 N. Montour St., Montoursville, PA, passed away March 1, 2008, at the Williamsport Home. She was born March 3, 1933, in Williamsport the daughter of Carl and Isabelle McConnell Wentzler.
Her and her husband, Dr. Albert K. Lander, Jr. would have celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary June 28, 2008.
She retired as a biology teacher at East Lycoming School District, a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Past President of Lycoming County Dental Society and had served the Board of Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. She loved tennis and painting.
Surviving besides her husband, are two sons, Joseph K. (Sue) of Westfield, PA and Michael A. (Karen) of Montoursville; two brothers Joseph (Lois) of Muncy and William (Elizabeth) of Montoursville; Grandchildren, E.J., Paul, Rachael, Jonathan and Nick Lander.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 8, at Bethany Lutheran Church 369 Broad St., Montoursville with the Rev. J. Jeffrey Zetto officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Old Immanuel Church Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Old Immanuel Church, 2633 Lime Bluff Rd., Muncy, PA 17756. Arrangements by Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, PA.
